Birthday Parties

Treat the nature-lover in your life to a birthday party celebration in the great outdoors! Two-hour party rentals include a party room, animal meet-and-greet, gift bags and of course the picture-perfect photo! Fee for birthday party rentals: $150 (R) / $175 (N) for the party package up to 15 guests (additional $15 fee per child).

Whole Museum Experience

With our whole museum experience, you and your party can have the Red Oak Nature Center exhibits all to yourselves. The rental fee is $250(R) / $255(NR) per hour, with a minimum of two hours required. To schedule, please call (630) 897-1808 or email roprograms@fvpd.net.

Acorn Room

The Acorn room includes a sink and can comfortably hold 30 people unseated and 20 seated. If you are interested in a larger space, consider renting the Maple Room and Acorn Room together.

Maple Room

The Maple room includes a sink, and small refrigerator. It can comfortably hold 40 people unseated and 30 seated. If you are interested in a larger space, consider renting the Maple Room and Acorn Room together.

Now taking reservations from May – October! The Wilds at Red Oak is a modern event space located in the woodland area of the Red Oak Nature Center property. Nestled on the east bank of the Fox River among seven natural habitats, this nature-lovers observatory – fitted with overhead windows and sections of transparent walls – dutifully supports The Wilds’ theme: let the outdoors in.

The simple, sleek décor provides panoramic views of the surrounding 40 acres of woods, the Fox River, and its vibrant ecosystem. A large patio and double-sided fireplace allow guests to immerse themselves in the natural surroundings – just as it was intended.
